The key milestones on a job are shown above. You will need to setup each template to configure your emails for your specific company.
Without that configuration, our software will create a general (hard coded) email that we have already built into the software.
When you click update the following dialog is shown.
Please note, if you don't mark the this profile is active checkbox at the top of the dialog, we will not use the profile you setup. Only the default email will be sent.
The subject field is used to specify the subject line of the email. A valid field shown at the bottom of the page can be included in the subject line but the wording (incliuding upper and lower case) must match to work properly.
The body field shown is where you put what should appear in the body of the email. Note the special coding included in this sample. That is HTML code. We support that. It can help dress up your emails and make them look more professional. The merge fields can be used in this section also. Please refer to the sample.
Here is a short list of HTML codes that can be used in the body of the email:
<b> - Bold text
</b> - End bold text
<br> - Create a new line (carriage return)
<.i> - Italic
</i> - end Italic
The bottom checkboxes work as follows:
Attach PDF attaches the appropriate PDF to the email (workorder, proof, invoice).
Enable HTML - turns on the HTML processing for the body. If you don't check this box and type in HTML code in the body of the email it will show. Please check the box if you intend to insert HTML code in the body of the email.
Bcc user email - sends a copy of the auto email to the logged in users email.
click OK when you have completed your configuration.
Please note: if you want to use this feature you need to make sure you setup your email settings:
If your email is not configured properly setting up the auto email templates will start throwing errors as you work the system.
Disable the autoemail templates until you complete your email configuration. We have a knowledge base article that covers email settings.
