How to Uninstall and Reinstall if Your Software Gets out of Sync with the Release

First you need to remove the old software by going to control panel and removing the old copy of WinServe8.

Open the APPS option in windows 10




Once the uninstall is complete, then go through the steps to reinstall the new/current version:
Any computer in your office with our software can be checked to see the current version number.
Hit help and about to see your current version number from (A/R or Wincopy or Winerveplus):


From the above display this software is currently on version 8.89.
The download area for tristar is as follows:
www.tristarsoftware.net/xxx.exe where xxx is the version number (889) in this case.

Once you download and install the software (including windows that it is OK to install the program), 
you will need to go through client setup:


You may change your company name but it doesn't affect anything.



Click OK and enter your credentials:

Each company should have 1 set of credentials. Please write them down and keep them in a safe place.
Click OK and the software will check your internet and verify it can connect to your database. 

Click OK on this screen to complete your setup and download any additional patches since the software was originally released.
The software is now ready to use. 
If you attempt to open the software before running client setup it will give you errors and not work. Please follow the above steps to get setup completely.
You must run client setup before you open any other Tristar programs. They all rely on the client setup to establish the sql server connection.

Please note: Our software is designed to work on the microsoft windows environment (version 7 or better). If you are running a Mac, you will need to install windows parallels:

Once installed you will need to open the parallels environment, then install our software.
Tristar's current version also requires the dot net framework version 3.51 SP! which can be found here:
Once properly installed, you will need to do the client setup step to connect to your database.
