Proof of Service: Initialize and Select Manner of Service
Summary: Open the Proof of Service dialog, choose manner of service, set date/time, servers, and mailing details.
Quick answer
From the order, launch Proof of Service and select the manner of service, serve date/time, address, server, and (if sub-serve) mailing information. This initializes all tabs so you only touch specific fields if needed later.
What you need
- WinServe+ access
- Appropriate role/permissions (as required)
Steps
From the order (or right‑click list), choose **Proof of Service** (Ctrl+Shift+S).

Use **Route** (v9.05+) to preview Google route; use the **G** button fields (v9.0x) to pull fee advance/weight/miles when available.

Confirm it worked
Click **OK** to open the full Proof of Service screen; fields are populated as per initialization. The proof can now be edited across tabs without losing data.
Troubleshooting
If information is incorrect after initialization, **remove the proof and start over** (the manual notes this is the safest approach when initialize values were wrong). If the server/mailing options don’t appear, confirm the selected manner of service matches the requirement.
